I am a master's student in Computer Science with a focus on distributed and parallel programming at the Federal University of Santa Maria. My current research project involves evaluating schedulers with adaptive algorithms on asymmetric computing platforms.
This is my current research area. I started my studies through some extra-curricular activities, later evolving to undergraduate research project activities. In master's program, I have been studying the behavior of adaptive scheduling algorithms on asymmetric computing platforms, such as ARM big.LITTLE, by instance.
I have been a Debian GNU/Linux user for almost 6 years. These years of use have made me gain experience with its environment tools such as terminals, use of shell scripts, software installation management, understanding of the Linux distribution directories system, etc. In addition to developing and improving skills with tools such as git, ssh, gdb, among others.
During my internship at the NCC, I was responsible along with a team of students and staff for administering the software installed on the computers of 4 teaching labs. During this period I had some experiences with the FOG system cloning tool and participated in the development of a virtual machine download and launch system.
CAPES Concept: 3
CPC-MEC: 4 (2017)
In addition to being a master's student, I enjoy participating in programming competitions along with my friends, such as the ACM-ICPC programming contests (organized locally in Brazil by SBC), parallel programming marathons (which take place during SBAC-PAD symposiums) among several others. Still on programming, I have been participating of GameJams from a while now, developing digital games - which I consider to be one of my hobbies, because I'm very excited about it - using an open game engine called Godot.
Off the keyboards, I have a remarkable passion for football: I am a supporter of the Gremio de Porto Alegre, a local football team which I have been a supporter since childhood with my father. I also play futsal when I get the chance. I have two cats that I take care with a lot of affection - you can check some pictures of them in my instagram.
